WE|DO delivered ten million packages in its first year

The courier company WE|DO transported almost ten million shipments in the first year of its existence. The company’s turnover from the InTime service last fall increased by 40 percent. The company, which is co-owned by the PPF investment group.

WeDo also increased the number of dispensing points to 1000 and launched the first hundred of its own dispensing boxes. “We have a quick start, but that does not mean we rest on our laurels. We want to continue to grow, we will gradually expand our network to be as close as possible to customers. At the same time we invest hundreds of millions of CZK in technology and improve the customer experience,” said Daniel Mareš, CEO, WE|DO.

WE|DO’s largest investment this year is the central transhipment depot in Ostředek near D1. The total investment in buildings and technologies will reach half a billion crowns and the transhipment facility should start operating in the spring of next year. According to Mareš, the company plans to invest approximately CZK 1 billion in the near future.

“Thanks to the construction of the Center, we will be ready for our further growth in the coming years, we will have sufficient capacity reserves to multiply the number of shipments,” added Mareš.

WE|DO was established last autumn on the basis of the takeover of the then InTime courier service and the Uloženka network of dispensing points. WE|DO is owned by the PPF investment group and EC Investments by Daniel Křetínský and Patrik Tkáč with shares of 40 percent each. These companies hold the same shares in Mall Group e-shops. A fifth of WE|DO is owned by Jakub Havrlant’s Rockaway Capital.

The largest companies delivering consignments of all kinds in the Czech Republic include Česká pošta, PPL, DPD, Geis, GLS, Zásilkovna or Toptrans.
