Welltower bought Stratford Court of Boca Pointe, a senior living community in Boca Raton, for $130m. The health care REIT, paid just under $230,500 per unit for the 564-bed property. The purchase was part of a larger $368m deal that includes four retirement communities in Arlington and Charlottesville, Virginia, and in Silver Spring, Maryland. The seller, Senior Housing Properties, paid $124.3m for the the four properties in 1994. The center offers independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care options.
