Frontier Development & Hospitality Group bought the Westin Baltimore Washington Airport-BWI for $34m. Located in Linthicum Heights, the 260-room property has more than 10,000 sq ft of meeting and function space. The hotel is a short distance from the Baltimore Convention Center, local corporations and government offices, including the National Security Administration and Northrop Grumman. Frontier is planning an additional $5.2m in renovations and upgrades focusing on guestrooms and public spaces.
“The Westin Baltimore Washington Airport-BWI is the premier asset in the market and provides us with the opportunity to capitalize on the $60m expansion of the BWI Airport, as well as a diversity of demand generators within the corporate, government, healthcare and entertainment sectors. We are excited to add this amazing asset to our growing hotel portfolio,” said Evens Charles, CEO of Frontier Development & Hospitality Group LLC.
