Westin Warsaw secures first LEED hotel label in Poland

20 July 2016

The Westin Warsaw hotel is the first hotel project on the Polish market to obtain a LEED certificate for operations and maintenance of an existing building. To secure the silver label, Skanska Property Poland cooperated with Go4Energy during the process. One of Warsaw’s flagship hotel projects, the Westin secured the label 13 years after its completion.

As reported in CIJ last month, the Warsaw Westin was recently put on the market FOR ASKING PRICE OF €65m but failed to attract a buyer. Observers expect, however, that the project could be put on the market again this year, as appetite for hotel investments in Poland is growing at an impressive pace.
