WeWork takes 2 more floors at 135 E 57th St in NYC

Co-working company, WeWork, has expanded its lease at 135 East 57th for the third time. The company has taken an extra two floors in the the Cohen Brothers building to bring the firms total to a total of 125,000 square feet. The firm now occupies a total of nine floors in the 32 story building. WeWork originally took four floors in early 2016, before adding three more in November. The two floors being leased were previously occupied by online investment firm E-Trade. The deal marked the end of a dramatic week for WeWork, which revealed that it would be paying $850 million for the Lord & Taylor building on Fifth Avenue and a further $785 million for a London office complex owned by the Blackstone Group.
