An entity led by Willner Realty & Development Company bought SkyHouse Channelside, a 320-unit trophy apartment project in Tampa, Florida, for $88m. The property is downtown Tampa’s only high-rise rental community with rooftop amenities, which include a 360-degree infinity-edge saline swimming pool and poolside lounge area with fireplaces and grills. Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, AVR Realty Company. The purchase marks Willner Realty’s fourth multifamily acquisition brokered by C&W in the Tampa Bay area.
“SkyHouse represents a unique core-plus investment opportunity offering many of the qualities investors seek, including a high-rise tower with ample parking in an urban location,” said Brad Capas, senior director at C&W. “Willner Realty is a long-term investor and plans to make a series of capital investments in SkyHouse to enhance the property’s position as one of the top multifamily properties on the west coast of Florida.”
