The CIJ Awards Slovakia gala unfolded last night at the Grand Hotel River Park in Bratislava in an event that saw the handing out of 18 prizes to the best project and most successful companies in the country’s property sector. The industrial sector produced some big winners, with P3 picking up the prize for Best Warehouse Development for its work on P3 Bratislava park, Lozorno – Faurecia SUV. CTP, meanwhile, was called to the stage in front of a lively crowd to accept the prize for Leading Green Building Development & Developer of the Year for CTPark Voderady. A newcomer to the awards, Imagine Development, won the Best Residential Development & Developer award for Hajpark. However, it was a more well-known figure in Bratislava’s residential market, Milan Murcko (YIT) who was judged by the jury and on-line voters to have most deserved the Leadership of the Year prize. The Transaction of the Year honors went to Central Shopping Centre (Acquisition by Allianz Real Estate Germany/JLL).
For its work on the new office of NN, Cushman & Wakefield’s team made its first trip to the podium for the Best Fit Out prize, but the company’s managing partner Cristina Dumitrache would make yet three more. They were for Property Management Team of the Year, Retail Lease of the Year (Starbucks) and for Office Lease of the Year (Abbovie). But there were other important prizes for real estate agencies to as well. JLL came away from the evening as the winners of the Capital Markets Team of the Year. CBRE, meanwhile, scored important victories on three fronts, as they collected the prizes for Warehouse, Office and Retail Power Broker Team of the Year. Finally, on the agency front, it was not for the first time that the entire HERRYS team came to the stage to accept the Local Power Broker Team of the Year.
Also making a return to the stage was Wilson & Partners which won the Law Firm of the Year prize, while Tatra banka was also the choice for Bank Team of the Year.
