The Radisson Blu in central Bucharest was the venue for CIJ Awards Romania, the last of a series of six such gala evenings held across the CEE region. A sell-out crowd of more than 350 top property professionals gathered for the event in the hotel’s grand ballroom to witness the presentation of 25 prizes for outstanding achievement. In addition to the traditional project awards and prizes for a wide variety of property consultancy and services disciplines, CIJ Awards Romania 2016 featured several new categories, including Fit-Out of the Year (won by COS) and Best Refurbishment of the Year (Bucuresti Mall – Anchor Grup).
Green Court Bucharest, Building C by Skanska won the Leading Green Building Development & Developer of the Year prize, but it was the Globalworth Tower project (by Globalworth) that won this year’s Best Big Office Development of the Year prize. The Best Small Office Development of the Year award went to Forte Partners’ 7,400 sqm project Stefan cel Mare Building. Meanwhile, in the industrial sector, CTP Invest capped off a successful year in Romania by winning Best Warehouse Development & Developer of the Year for its project CTPark Bucharest West. The Best Constructor of the Year was once again Bog’Art, while Optim Project Management took home the winner’s statue for Best Project Management Team of the Year. One company for whom 2016 was a breakthrough year at the CIJ Awards was Premier Estate Management, which won the Best Residential Sales Team of the Year for the first time.
Otherwise, CBRE dominated several commercial agency awards, picking up not only the prize for Best Warehouse RE Agency of the Year, but the awards for the Best Retail and Property Management Team of the Year. Knight Frank, no stranger to the awards podium won Best Office RE Agency of the Year. The Leadership of the Year prize went to Geo Margescu (Forte Partners) while Bank Team of the Year was accepted by UniCredit Bank representatives.
