The list of candidates for the KGHM’s top job is quite short, Puls Biznesu daily reports, with only three names considered strong contenders. The first is Herbert Wirth, who’s been heading the company up until now, while he’s followed by HP board member Jacek Levernes. Arkadiusz Gierałta, a manager for several years at KGHM and a head of the Civic Platform (PO) party in the city of Lublin, is considered the dark horse candidate.
Jacek Levernes refuses to comment, though the state-run company should feel lucky to have such a name in the running, according to PB sources. Jacek Levernes is also a co-founder of the business leaders associations ABSL.
