The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air opened a maintenance facility at Sofia Airport where it will carry out more than 300 maintenance processes annually. The new hangar is designed will increase the airline’s capacity for servicing its fleet of Airbus A320s. The company served over 1 million passengers over the first five months of the year from Bulgaria. Seven of Wizz Air’s jets are based in Sofia, while it has another in Varna.
