Wizz Air has announced the opening of its 41st base which will be in Sarajevo. It has also been announced that one Airbus A320 aircraft will be based at Sarajevo International Airport in May 2021.
In addition to establishing a new base, Wizz Air has announced the launch of nine new routes from Sarajevo to cities in seven countries since May 2021.
Wizz Air from Bosnia and Herzegovina has been flying since May 2013, when the first plane took off from Tuzla for Malmö. In the past eight years, they have transported almost three million passengers to and from BiH. With this expansion, Wizz Air continues to increase its operations in BiH by 50 percent. The Airbus A320 will operate flights on nine new routes: Brussels Charleroi, Copenhagen, Dortmund, Eindhoven, Gothenburg, London Luton, Memmingen, Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg (Euroairport) and Paris Beauvais with a total of more than 250,000 seats on flights from Sarajevo in 2021.
