The low cost airline Wizz Air reported carrying 2.76 million passengers to and from Romania in 2012, a 2.2-percent increase from 2011. Globally, the company reported it had a total of 12 million passengers in 2012, up 12 percent y-o-y. Wizz Air operates more than 250 flights to 83 destinations in 29 countries. In 2011, the airline offered 203 flights.
The company hopes to increase its passenger load to 13.5 million, as well as add new destinations and purchase a couple of new airplanes.
