Hines, a global real estate investment, development and management company, announces that the Wola Center office complex, owned by the Hines European Value Fund (HEVF 1), has achieved BREEAM In-Use “Outstanding” certification. It received the second highest score among only twelve office buildings in Europe. Noteworthy is the fact that it achieved the highest rating in the Asset Performance category in Poland 1.
This month Wola Center was again awarded the BREEAM environmental certificate, for the first time at the highest possible level. This was influenced, among other things, by the successful implementation of ESG initiatives aimed simultaneously at ensuring the highest quality and standards and creating a best-in-class office of the future. Wola Center became the only building in Poland and the second in Europe with a score above 90 percent (90.4 percent), receiving an “Outstanding” rating in the BREEAM In-Use – Asset Performance¹ category. The building was recognized primarily for its security features, use of environmentally friendly materials, optimization of energy consumption and positive impact on the health and well-being of the building’s users.
Wola Center offers many amenities, including office space and coworking space in the main lobby, retail and service establishments, an elegant patio, green terraces, and extensive infrastructure for cyclists. Motorists have at their disposal a two-level parking lot for 344 cars and nine chargers for electric cars. The complex consists of four modern Class A buildings offering a total of 35,384 sqm of office and retail space. The building is located in an excellent location – at 33 Przyokopowa Street in Warsaw’s Wola district. Thanks to its proximity to an important traffic junction, a subway stop and the Warsaw Ochota train station, it is well connected to other city districts and suburban towns.
“Sustainable development is one of our priorities. We want to continue to make investments with the goal of creating comfortable places to work, while reducing their impact on the environment. This is important because, as part of ESG, we feel responsible for ensuring that our buildings are fit for the future standards and attractive to tenants at the same time. A good example of our conscious management at Wola Center is the redesign of the main lobby, where we have implemented a number of green solutions and introduced lots of living greenery. We are proud that our efforts have been recognized by the award for Wola Center as a world-class facility in Europe,” says Karolina Nitka, property manager, Hines Poland.
