Construction on a new affordable senior housing community in Kenwood Place got underway with a groundbreaking ceremony held by developer Wendover Housing Partners. The 112 unit facility, located in Tallahassee, will be priced below the city’s average monthly rent of $814. Each unit comes equipped with a full-size washer and dryer, a state-of-the-art kitchen including a dishwasher and microwave, and a monitored emergency call system. Community amenities will include a fitness center, outdoor garden, swimming pool and a computer and community room. The project will open for occupancy in February 2017.
