The Czech Highway Authority (RSD) has decided that just one EIA will be required for the construction of two sections of the northern portion of Prague’s outer loop express road. The ruling means that construction could move forward on the first of them could begin in 2024, while work on the second could begin in 2025. Once completed, motorists could avoid the city center using the 6-lane road connecting Březinvěs, Suchdol and Ruyzně. It’s hoped that adding more than 16 kilometers to the bypass will help alleviate the usual congestion on the northwest portion of the Prague capital.
