Work on delayed Toyo Tires factory in Serbia to start in August

The arrival of Toyo Tires in Serbia was announced last summer, when the Japanese tire company announced it would build its first European factory in Indjija. However, construction was unable to begin as planned in April due to the pandemic. The president of the municipality of Indjija, Vladimir Gak, now says that work will get underway in August on the 64 hectare site.

The fully-automated production complex will turn out tires for cars and trucks should have a capacity of 5 million tires per year. The €400 million investment should result in the creation of more than 500 jobs.
