Construction of a 24 km section of motorway between Kresna and Sandanski in south-western Bulgaria will break ground in September, according to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works. The local consortium Struma won the €143.7m tender. Financing for this project will come from “Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014-2020” program.
