WSE companies see profits slide in Q1 2012

Revenues at the biggest listed companies on Warsaw’s stock exchange rose over the first quarter of 2012, though their profits fell by 8.58 percent to PLN 7.37m. Seven in ten companies recorded lower net profits in the first three months of the year. The operating profits were more dynamic, however, with five of ten companies staying in the black over the same period. In all, WSE companies saw their total revenues rise by 1.4 percent in Q1 2012 to PLN 64bn.
