WSE’s investors await 2012 GDP data

29 January 2013

The Warsaw Stock Exchange rebounded slightly this morning after Monday’s losses, with the WIG20 index increasing by 0.14 percent. WIG20 Telekom was up by 1 percent at the start of today’s trading, while Poland’s energy provider PGNiG increased by 0.6 percent.
Market watchers, however, agree this could just be a temporary improvement, as data on Poland’s 2012 GDP growth rate is expected to be released today.
WSE was in the red last week, and had deepen its slump Monday morning. Analysts expect the downturn to continue in the short-term.
