Trading on Warsaw’s stock market started the day with slight gains on its WIG20 index, following a 1 percent drop at yesterday’s closing. The biggest WSE companies were up by 0.14 percent this morning, buoyed by the Polish energy giant PGE, which rose 0.7 percent right after the opening bell. The lender Pekao continue to fall this morning, and so did the oil giant PKN Orlen.
According to the business server parkiet.pl, Polish investors remain cautious, after Warsaw’s indexes slumped yesterday. The WIG20 index dropped to 2,450 points yesterday, nearing its low from December. The market is currently waiting for fresh data on then British and German industrial production.
