Hotel developer Wurzak Hotel Group has started construction on a 24-story tower in Fort Lauderdale. The facility will hold two separate Starwood hotel flags, a 209-room The Dalmar (part of Starwood’s Tribute brand), and a 114-room Element hotel. The two hotel swill share a ground floor entrance along with a seventh floor lobby that will have check in desks for both brands. Other shared amenities will include a 24th floor pool deck and bar, 12,000 square feet of retail space and 206 parking spaces. The project is slated for completion in the second quarter of 2018 after 18 months of construction.
