A partnership between the Wurzak Hotel Group and DoveHill has secured $56.1 million in construction financing for its dual-branded Starwood hotel project in Fort Lauderdale. The new scheme will consist of a 24-story, 323 room property, at 299 North Federal Highway. The two hotels will be the 209-room Tribute hotel, called The Dalmar, and the 114-room Element hotel. The scheme will feature 12,000 sqf of retail space, a 206-space parking deck, a sky lobby on the seventh floor with a bar, and an indoor and outdoor pool deck on the 24th floor. Meridian Capital Group’s Ronnie Levine and Aggelos Sklavenitis arranged the financing through Bank of the Ozarks. The partnership acquired the land for the project for $12 million in June.
