XCity plans 200 meter office tower in central Warsaw

12 August 2015

The development arm of the state-run Polish State Railways (PKP) has unveiled a preliminary design for its most recent office scheme, set to go up on a 2 ha plot located in Warsaw’s CBD. Located at the corner of Aleje Jerozolimskie and Jana Pawła streets, Centralna Park includes a 200 meter office tower, designed by SUD Architekci, as well as a hotel and retail components. ā€œThis significant project will be well connected with the public transport system,ā€ said Xcity’s CEO Maciej Króla, explaining that this will allow the building to require fewer parking places than is currently standard.
The investor says the pace of construction will be timed to match market conditions, adding that construction must wait until at least 2018 when renovation work on the local railway line is underway. ā€œWork on the commercial components could take up to six years, depending on the market conditions,ā€ Król adds.
