Yankee Candle Europe is planning to build a factory on a 15 ha plot in the Joseph industrial zone in Most. The city recently approved the land sale in a deal worth an estimated CZK 52.1m. The company intends to hire between 300 and 400 people within the first three years of the factory’s opening. The local daily Mostecký deník writes that the manufacturing plant should open before the end of 2016. Yankee Candle was founded in the US and has its European headquarters in the UK. It is planning to buy the site in Most through a Czech branch it is currently establishing.
