YIT and Immocap bought the worn-down Istropolis cultural and congress complex in Bratislava through a company called First SPV. The price of the deal was not disclosed. Trend Reality broke the news, pointing to the Cadaster portal as a source. The city is insisting that the cultural complex be preserved and reconstructed, as it offers a congress hall for 1,300, the largest in Slovakia. The transaction also includes a 3.7 ha site, which Immocap and YIT can develop. The companies, however, said they don’t have plans they can reveal to the public just yet. Immocap focuses on retail development, having built the Central shopping center located just across the street from Istropolis. The residential developer YIT is currently revitalizing the former industrial area of Cvernovka.
