YIT hopes it will be able to start reconstruction work on two historic facilities in Bratislava’s Cvernovka area early next year. The spinning mill and the adjacent Silocentrála will be the only two buildings preserved in the city’s historic industrial area. Architekti Bouda Masár oversaw the redesigns of the two facilities, which were built in 1904. The spinning mill will be renovated into a project called Pradiareň 1900, offering 9,500 sqm of office and 2,800 sqm of retail and services. The new design for Silocentrála includes a cafe and congress center, with showrooms and boutique retail space on the ground floor as well as an underground parking garage for 224 cars.
