Zasilkovna opens 4,000 sqm logistics center in Ruzyně

29 August 2019

The Czech parcel delivery company Zasilkovna has opened a new logistics center on the western edge of Prague in Ruzyně. The 4,000 sqm facility is expected to be able to handle an average of 600,000 parcels per month. The company’s founder Simona Kijonková told Czechcrunch.cz the location will help shorten delivery times dramatically, helping it handle the pre-Christmas crush of packages when it will likely have to handle the delivery of 1 million parcels. Zasilkovna made CZK 425m in revenues over the first half of the year, but expects to hit CZK 1.3bn by the end of the year and make a total of 18.5 million deliveries. Packeta, the delivery division of Zasilkovna, operates a total of nine logistics depots in the Czech Republic, along with another five in Slovakia and one each in Hungary, Romania and Poland.
