The Packeta group, which runs the Zasilkovna network of pick-up points, reported CZK 918 million in turnover for the first six months of 2020. That’s more than double what it managed last year. The result confirms the obvious trend that companies involved in the e-commerce and delivery business have done fantastic business during the crisis. The company handled more than 14.5 million packages during the first half of the year, which is roughly double the amount it reported for the same period last year. “The constantly growing e-commerce market is driving the huge growth in turnover and the number of packages,” said Simona Kijonkova, director of the Packeta group. “The coronavirus pandemic sped up this process as more and more customers move to buying goods on the Internet.”
