The first ecological estate designed in accordance with the sustainable development strategy of the city of Lodz is beginning to bustle with activity. The developer has started issuing keys to apartments at 22 Widzewska Street. The premiere phase of the project is almost completely sold out – the last two apartments remain on sale.
The building of the first phase has been under construction since mid-2021. In the single building towering over nearby Piłsudskiego Avenue, 168 apartments with floor areas ranging from 27 to 82 sqm were prepared. Each has a balcony, loggia or terrace, and the price includes customers receiving the Echo Smart starter package, a wireless apartment management system. With it, by voice or remotely using a smartphone, one can, among other things, control lighting, regulate temperature, turn off electrical appliances or unlock the front door lock. Green heat for apartments from a local combined heat and power plant is provided by Veolia. The producer and supplier of system heat also equips the investment with modern, ecological solutions by installing, for example, photovoltaic panels and chargers for electric cars. The energy generated by Veolia is also used to power common areas, such as elevators, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. Concerned for the environment, the developer will also focus on other ecological solutions applied to the common spaces of the project in the east of Łódź. Green areas will be irrigated with rainwater stored in retention tanks, and the development will also include a greenhouse where residents will be able to grow herbs, flowers or vegetables.
“Innovative and friendly to everyday life for people of all ages. This is what Zenit, a housing estate designed in accordance with the City of Lodz eco-pact, will be like. In order to make life there even more pleasant, on the plot of the former big-box store we will prepare many green areas for relaxation and leisure, and as part of the amenities we will provide, among others, a playground, as well as an InPost parcel machine. The area, which for years was primarily a concrete parking lot, will be transformed into an open, city-creating piece of the city, which will completely change the landscape of Lodz’s largest neighborhood,” says Dawid Wrona, director of apartment sales at Echo Investment.
During the acceptance, customers receive a special kit from Echo Investment, which consists not only of keys, garage remotes or intercom codes, but also, for example: the main information about the investment, i.e. important contacts, administration fees or a summary of finishing package options. In addition, there are also several gifts such as a company bag or an elegant set with wine and glasses.
Echo Investment will soon begin construction of the second stage, while before the vacations the developer will launch an Echo Share station at the Zenith estate. The electromobility point will provide residents with access to their own fleet of electric bicycles, scooters and cars charged thanks to an eco-friendly infrastructure powered by solar energy. The Echo Share neighborhood mobility point is a dedicated space from which only Zenith residents will be able to rent eco-vehicles. Using a free app, it will be possible to check availability, reserve the chosen model and make payments. The app will also make it possible to check the vehicles’ range and charge level.
