Zom takes a stake in MDM’s Metropolitan Miami

15 June 2016

Orlando-based apartment developer Zom has acquired a stake in the final phase of MDM’s Metropolitan Miami mixed-use project. The developer paid $17.6 million for its portion of the property at 300 Southeast Third Street in downtown Miami as well as securing a $101 million construction loan. The rental tower, Avant at Met Square, will feature a 43-story, 391-unit apartment tower with 24-hour valet service, a eighth floor amenity deck with a resort-style pool and wellness center.

Met Square, which broke ground last summer, is the fourth phase of the Met project. Once completed, the mixed-use project will include an 80,000 sqf, 17-screen Silverspot Cinema on the third through sixth floors; retail and restaurant space on the first and second floors along with the apartment tower. The scheme will also feature a history museum of the Native American Tequesta tribe, whose artifacts were discovered on the construction site.
