Florin Pogonaru, who owns a majority share in Veranda Shopping Center, said he expects the mall to produce €6m to €7m in rental per year. Through the development company Prodplast Imobiliare, he and other investors completed the first phase of this €60m project involving 25,000 sqm of leasable retail space and 15,000 sqm of green area.
Roughly half of the 20,000 daily visitors to the mall come by car, but the developers believes that with its location close to the Bucharest’s subway system will eventually attract up to 8 million visitors annually.
