The Czech Republic remains an attractive destination for retailers, with 22 new brands making their debut in the country in 2016, according to a new report published by CBRE. While two retailers, Mothercare and Harmont & Blaine, left the Czech market in early 2017, CBRE expect retail expansion in the Czech Republic will remain strong this year. Prague is the most sought-after destination for flagship stores. Retailers prefer prime locations along Prague’s high streets to shopping malls. The city’s luxury shopping avenue Pařížská attracted COS, Pinko, Breitling, Patek Philippe and Rolls-Royce in 2016. Centrum Černý Most, and Centrum Chodov rank among the most popular shopping malls in Prague. The list of new entries to the Czech Republic in 2016 included 4F, Bally, Cool Club, Crocodilino, Forever 21, Hamleys, Imaginarium, Lusha Florence, Max&Co, Michal Negrin, PUPA, Piquadro, Stefano Ricci, Pietro Brunelli, NYX and Tous.
