A partnership of Thor Equities and General Growth Properties is set for a June closing on a retail building at 220 West 57th Street. The $85 million deal for the 22,000 sqf property, located between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, is the longtime home of Lee’s Art Supplies. The four story property was constructed in 1897 and was known as the Society House of the American Society of Civil Engineers. The current owners, the Steinberg family, have occupied the building since 1975 and have owned it since 1995.
