24 October 2016

The largest piece of vacant land in the Orlando area’s theme park district, Shingle Creek, has been placed on the market for $92 million. The 600 acre tract of land located in unincorporated Orange County is three miles from Disney World, six miles from Sea World, 10 miles from Universal Parks, and 7.5 miles from the Orange County Convention Center. The site features 264 contiguous acres which could hold homes, offices, hotel rooms or timeshare units. Marc Sirkin, an agent with Engel & Voelkers-Sunny Isles Beach is marketing the land. “The property has a current zoning of A-2 [farmland/rural] and will require rezoning” for commercial or residential development, according to Engel & Voelkers. “Shingle Creek provides mixed use zoning possibilities including hotel, timeshare, resorts, multifamily, office ad tourist commercial uses.”
