In Una Sana Canton near the town Bihac an investor is planning its first wind farm. All the necessary permits are almost finished and by the end of the year the investor should start work on the scheme, which is worth an estimated €20m to €25m. A concession was granted to Ivicom from Zagreb last year, making the scheme possible. Ivicom secured permits to use more than 1,000 ha for the construction of 8 mini wind farms producing 5 megawatts each. The investor is permitted to use this location for 30 years.
