Lidl expands with three new store openings across Romania in September

Lidl continues its expansion in Romania with the opening of three new stores this month in Bucharest, Sibiu, and Râșnov, strengthening its presence in the local market.

The new store in Bucharest, located in Sector 5 on Toporași Street No. 6A, opened on September 16, featuring a sales area of over 1,300 square meters and offering 129 parking spaces for customers. In Sibiu, Lidl will inaugurate another store on September 23, located on St. Theodor Mihali No. 3-5, with a sales area exceeding 1,400 square meters and 83 parking spaces. The third store, opening on September 30 in Râșnov on Brașovului Street No. 11, also spans over 1,400 square meters and provides 143 parking spaces.

With these new openings, Lidl has created 86 additional jobs, contributing to its growing workforce in Romania. Currently, the German retailer employs over 12,000 people in the country, with more than 350 stores and six logistics centers in operation. Globally, Lidl employs approximately 376,000 people.
