Electronics retailer Datart is to merge with HP Tronic, operator of Euronics network of electronic stores, as well as e-shops Hej.sk and Kasa.cz. Genesis Private Equity Fund III will strengthen the capital structure of the new company, in which it will hold a significant minority share, writes Trend.sk citing HP Tronic as its source. The transaction will still have to be approved by both Slovak and Czech Antimonopoly Offices. HP Tronic held 20 percent share in Datart since 2014. The merger will create a retail network of 130 stores with annual revenues of €570m in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
