French supermarket chain Auchan opened its first proximity shop in Bucharest’s Military neighborhood. This is the first of 15 My Auchan shops the retailer plans to open this year. The 230 sqm Military location is situated at a Petrom gas station. With 33 hypermarkets, valued at €1.2bn in 2016, on the Romanian market, Auchan is now focusing on proximity shops and supermarkets.
