Cresco Group started construction on a new shopping zone in the Slnečnice residential complex it’s been developing in Bratislava’s Petržalka district since 2011. Slnečnice Market is scheduled to open this fall. The retail component will consist of two buildings next to a roundabout connecting Dolnozemska and Panónska streets. It will offer 8,500 sqm of retail space and 203 parking spaces. Cresco says it has signed lease contracts with retail chains such as Billa, Planeo Elektro, 101 Drogerie and Super ZOO and is in negotiations with some others. Slnečnice Market will also include a pharmacy, children’s center and dancing school.
