Ripley Entertainment invests in Orlando development land

Ripley Entertainment, the parent company of Ripley’s Believe it or Not! has picked up a 23.2 acre tract of land near Universal Studios for $23 million. The property is just south of Lockheed Martin’s Missiles and Fire Control plant, near a 475-acre parcel that was bought last year by an affiliate of Universal Orlando Resort. The purchase includes approximately 12 acres of vacant multifamily property and almost 5 acres of storm, retention and drainage land. The seller was an investment group, Orlando Equity Partners, affiliated with Atlanta-based Southwood Development Company.
