Echo Polska Properties and Echo Investment got the green light from Poland’s antitrust regulator to start development of a large-scale retail mall called Towarowa 22 in central Warsaw. In one of the city’s most anticipated transactions, Echo Polska Properties together with Echo Investment took over a keenly contested 6.5 ha retail site from their partner Griffin Real Estate. Located at Towarowa street, the site is valued at €120m, even without planning in place. Comprising of a number of smaller sites assembled by Griffin Real Estate through five individual transactions, Towarowa 22 is the biggest retail site in central Warsaw. The land offers space for the construction of more than 100,000 sqm of new commercial space.
