Czech purchasing power is at a 10-year high. However, compared to the European average, Czechs can still only afford a mere 57 percent of the cost of an average European purchase. The Czech Republic ranks 26th out of 42 countries researched by GfK. Czech purchasing power rose from €7,313 in 2015 to €7,800 this year, but the country is still outperformed by Slovenia and Slovakia as well as Estonia and Lithuania. Prague is the strongest Czech region, while Bruntál in northeast Bohemia is the weakest.
