Vastint Poland is in the process of acquiring a 9,000 sqm hotel property in the city of Katowice. A preliminary agreement has already been signed, the company wrote in a statement. Located on Piotra Skargi street, the property used to house a Silesia hotel and will be transformed into a hotel-and-office complex. The developer expects to start work on the project in 2018.
“At the moment, we have agreed on the prerequisites of the purchase with the private owner of the plot. We expect the transaction to be closed by the end of 2017. This is Vastint’s first acquisition in Katowice, but I believe that there will be more transactions. We are interested in purchasing more land in the city and further strengthening our position on the local market,” said Roger Andersson, managing director of Vastint Poland in a statement.
