Thor Equities has closed on the purchase of 180 Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg for $30 million. Situated on the corne at Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street, 180 Bedford Avenue is adjacent to the Bedford Avenue L, a key subway stop for Brooklyn and Manhattan. Thor plans to build a 14,500 sqf retail building on the site, including 120 feet of wraparound frontage on Bedford Avenue and North 7th Street. Designed by Fradkin & McAlpin Architects, the property will feature 4,000 sqf each on the ground, second and lower levels, as well as a rooftop terrace with an additional 2,500 sqf of space. “Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg is continuing to grow as a major retail destination, with new hotels and entertainment destinations attracting millions of visitors and locals,” said Joseph Sitt, CEO of Thor Equities.
