The supermarket chain Billa is planning to offer electric bicycle charging outlets to its Czech customers in order as an added service to its clients. The retailer is currently planning to test the idea out with three pilot project in Řičany, Mikulov and in Brno. Company officials told the news server idnes.cz the goals is to strengthen the growing trend towards a more ecological approach to life.
The discount supermarkets are also coming up with new ways to attract clients. Penny Market claims it’s installing new children’s zones to allow parents to shop in peace. Lidl, meanwhile, appears to be interested in attracting more affluent clients and has decided to make its stores attractive. They will be larger, will be operated by more staff and will even be offering rest rooms and places to baby changing tables.
