Carmila, Carrefour’s real estate subsidiary, acquired three shopping centers in Spain from Hispania Retail Properties for €77m. The properties include El Mirador (9,104 sqm) in Burgos, Montigalà (10,668 sqm) in Badalona and Atalayas (10,024 sqm) in Murcia. Carmila, which is owned by Carrefour (42 percent) and several large institutional investors (58 percent), invests in shopping centers that are adjacent to Carrefour hypermarkets in Spain, France and Italy. With the latest deals, the company’s Spanish portfolio now includes 69 assets.
