DIY retailer Leroy Merlin continues its Romanian expansion with a new store opening in Timisoara. The 13,400 sqm commercial space was one of the properties the group took over from bauMax last year. The recent addition marks the end of a 20-month company development program where 12 former bauMax stores were rebranded and two other newly opened stores were new builds, according to Frédéric Lamy, director general of Leroy Merlin Romania.
The group currently operates 15 locations in Romania and employs 1,500 across the country.
