Macedonia consumer price index falls to 99.7 in July

The consumer price index for the Macedonian market fell to 99.7 in July, while the retail price index dropped to 100.1, marking 0.3-percent decreases y-o-y, according to the State Statistical Office.

Decrease in the consumer price index were reported in fresh or chilled vegetables (8.2 percent), eggs (1 percent), information processing equipment (2.3 percent), liquid fuels and lubricants for household (1.5 percent), footwear and medicines (1.2 percent) and solid fuels for household (0.8 percent). Increases, meanwhile, were reported in air passenger transport (11.9 percent), accommodation services (9.1 percent) and packaged holidays (4 percent).
