Land acquisitions for private development on the Latvian market increased by roughly 15 percent in the first quarter of 2016, according to a report published by the real estate company Latio. This is the second consecutive quarter of growth for the market, with between 23 and 25 transactions, totaling approximately €1m, taking place per month. The average size of land trading hands during this three-month period ranged from 1,000 sqm to 1,500 sqm. The land bank for private development in Latvia grew by 5 percent in Q1, according to Latio.
