Grundbesitz Europa to stop issuing new shares

17 June 2016

Grundbesitz Europe will stop issuing new shares as of June 21 because it’s encountering difficulties in spending the money it’s already taken in. The fund reports that at the moment, 30 percent of the funds it has under management have not been invested in real estate. The problem, according to the bank, is a lack of appropriate investment targets. Grundbesitz Europe has a value of €5.5bn, and has seen an inflow of €750m since the beginning of 2016, placing it among the top four real estate funds.
